The position is responsible for overseeing and supporting the Family Advocate Program, ensuring the effective delivery of in-home family support services within One Arrow First Nation. This role provides leadership, and mentorship to Family Advocates while ensuring families receive culturally appropriate, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services. The Family Advocate Lead is responsible for program administration, case management oversight, and staff development, working closely with Elders, community partners, and service providers to support family well-being and prevent the need for Protection Support services.
Duties:
- Supervise and mentor Family Advocates, offering ongoing support, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and training materials to support consistent service delivery.
- Conduct regular case reviews with Family Advocates to provide guidance on family support plans, referrals, and interventions.
- Develop and implement training sessions to enhance Family Advocates skills in trauma-informed care, case management, and advocacy.
- Represent the Family Advocate Program in community meetings, policy discussions, and partnership initiatives.
- Track program outcomes and service delivery data to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with crisis response teams and external support agencies to coordinate care when necessary.
