Description

The Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC) performs four main roles: we train apprentices; certify apprentices and tradespeople; regulate the apprenticeship system of training; and promote apprenticeship as a way for employers to meet their labour market requirements.

We are currently looking for a Learning Strategist to join our team who is collaborative, proactive and results-oriented. This is a permanent full-time position.

Reporting to the Director of Innovation and Inclusion, the Learning Strategist is a key member of the innovation and inclusion team. This position is responsible for the early intervention and ongoing assistance for apprentices who require learning and test-taking strategies and interventions, in order to increase success.

As the Learning Strategist, your responsibilities will include:

Manage the design, data collection/analysis/interpretation, reporting and follow-up process for:
-Early intervention evaluations under the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship program;
-Broad student assessment under the Provincial and Red Seal certification process and;
-Directly contribute to the Apprenticeship Success Strategys success.

Learning Strategist's Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications: University degree in Adult Education with a concentration in learning disabilities or a related university degree plus an Adult Learning Certificate. A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of and experience with assistive technologies. A strong knowledge working with Microsoft Office Suite and working in a virtual environment is required.

Asset Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of, and experience with, the apprenticeship system in Canada and knowledge of the Province's apprenticeship learning support model.
