Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist clients in obtaining job and career information.
Facilitate and coach clients to identify a personal career destination and develop an action plan.
Prepare clients for sponsorship.
Assist clients to find employment when they are work ready and track clients employment status, periodically and offer job maintenance support as necessary.
Provide information to the students regarding Lac La Ronge Indian Band and Woodland Cree Enterprises Inc.: Post-Secondary Student Support Program including funding, programs, scholarships, and summer employment opportunities as they arise.
Ensure that student tracking sheets are maintained and updated after each semester.
Operate the computer to record data and prepare documents for storage requiring spreadsheet and word processing programs.
Ensure that students have access to academic advisors at all institutions, to assist them.
Receive a copy of all students marks and discuss results with students.
Negotiate for the funding and delivery of adult training programs in the communities.
Oversee and provide support to community-based adult training programs.
Attends and participates in workshops, meetings, seminars and conferences when requested and/or approved by the supervisor.
Submit statistical reports monthly and participate in monitors quarterly.
Maintain positive public relations on behalf of LLRIB and WCEI.
Follow and adhere to the LLRIB Personnel Policy Manual.
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent is necessary, some post-secondary is an asset.
Experience in adult education & training is an asset
Knowledge and understanding of adult education and/or post-secondary policies
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have a valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's License, with a satisfactory driver's abstract
Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check.
