The SPSA is seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented and proactive team player for the position of Technical Services Specialist, in the Emergency Communications, Technical Services and Support Branch in the Operations Division located in Prince Albert. The position reporting to the Director of IT will be responsible for:
Providing guidance and support to the Provincial Emergency Communications Centre (P-ECC) Technical Services unit. The Technical Services Specialist is responsible for the support for the technical environment within the PECC, numerous licensing agreements, interaction with resellers and system vendors and contractual relationships with service providers.
Assists in the development of hardware and software Evergreen paths and integration of new technology and standards. Identify integration options for more effective use of current technology platforms and achieve operational workflow efficiencies where possible. Engage with solution providers and system vendors on solution development.
Provide guidance on process and protocol improvements and implements the policy to support the service targets. The individual will monitor and report on service delivery expectations, project deliverables and operational status of SPSA technology systems and resources.
Provides technical liaison support with other emergency service groups within the business scope of the SPSA and PECC. Liaises with representatives from the various public safety agencies and groups regarding public safety technology and support services.
