Description

The YMCA of Regina is an Imagine Canada accredited non-profit charity that is open to all, & dedicated to building strong kids, strong families & strong communities focusing on the following core programs: education, employment, leadership development, community outreach & housing.

The Opportunity
The Healthy Relationships Facilitator will work as a part of the service team at HOMEBASE Moose Jaw. This full-time position is dedicated to supporting youth ages 12-25 through the development & delivery of a healthy relationships' curriculum. The role includes front line engagement with youth, providing one on one support & mentorship around healthy relationships, facilitating small group sessions, & fostering strong, positive relationships with young people to promote emotional wellbeing, communication skills & personal empowerment.

Responsibilities
Develop, adapt & deliver an engaging healthy relationships curriculum, tailored to youth ages 12-25.
Facilitate individual & small group sessions on topics related to healthy relationships, relevant to the youth in Moose Jaw
Provide community outreach which may include facilitating presentations to community partners & youth participant recruitment
Office administration includes answering phones, booking appointments, basic data entry & light housekeeping.

Qualifications
An understanding of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth & community services
Knowledge of local mental health & addictions system & community services
An understanding of adolescent development, healthy relationship dynamics & youth engagement practices
Reliable & have a strong willingness to improve the lives of youth aged 12-25
Understanding of Office 365, Word, & virtual content creation
Working hours will include evenings/weekend
Satisfactory criminal records check/vulnerable persons, and a child  abuse registry check, along with a valid drivers license and access to a vehicle.
