The Monitor at EHC serves as a pivotal support role, ensuring meticulous supervision and monitoring of visits between non-custodial parents and their families, in accordance with the Ministry of Social Services and the Ministry of Justice and Family Justice Services guidelines. Responsibilities extend from enforcing house and safety rules to providing robust reporting, all while aiding parents and extended family members in skill development and community integration. Furthermore, the Monitor diligently carries out any related tasks as needed, guaranteeing they adhere to the job's qualifications and standards, thereby ensuring flexibility and thorough service delivery, demonstrating a steadfast commitment to upholding EHC's mission and principles throughout all facets of their duties.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Early Childhood Education or Youth Care Worker certificate is an asset.
Qualifications:
Supervise and/or monitor visits of non custodial parents/extended family members
Monitor visits closely, intervening as necessary to maintain appropriate conduct and safety standards.
Knowledge in Foster Care Policies, and Domestic Violence/Addictions issues,
Excellent written and oral skills,
Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports in a timely manner,
Must have knowledge understanding and sensitivity to Indigenous cultures and traditional parenting practices
Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Demonstrates a commitment to Truth and Reconciliation
Provide a Criminal Record Check and a vulnerable sector check
First Aid and CPR certificate
