Operate manual lathes, mills, and other machinery to produce high-precision valve parts
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
Maintain equipment and keep a clean, organized workspace
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to ensure parts meet required specifications
Adhere to health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a manual machinist, preferably in valve or precision parts manufacturing
Proficiency with manual machining equipment (lathe, mill, drill press, etc.)
Strong understanding of blueprints and technical documents
High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bonus Skills:
Experience machining exotic metals (e.g., Inconel, Monel)
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
Forklift operation certification
