Description

The Jordans Principal  Service Coordinator Assistant/Clerk will work as part of a team providing knowledgeable support and information to families with children who are in need of social, educational or health related services and/or supports.  
Responsibilities
    Continual promotion of Jordans Principle to families, communities, and service providers; encourage parents/guardians with children who have unmet needs to apply for the needed services and supports; submit requests to Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) on behalf of such children and families.
     Nurture relationships across community-based programs and service providers, and First Nations, federal and provincial programs and services.
    As part of the Team, work to support the Jordans Principle Service Coordinator
    Contact for community, families, vendors/professionals, assisting families completing applications
    Administration of approvals, processing payments
    Development and maintaining of data management system
    Maintain records and invoice for reporting and audit requirements
    Scheuling appointment, home visits
    Assisting families to access available supports in and around their community
    Ensure additional application documentation is acurate and aligned with requested services/supports
    Champion the Jordan Principal process for our community, provide information updates
    Program reporting

    Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability.
    Highly resourceful team-player, effective, work independently.
    Strong understanding of social and economic concerns within the community
    Ability to advocate, time management, debriefing/de-escalating skills
    Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
    Microsoft Office and various software applications experience
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
