Description

The Moose Jaw Co-op is welcoming applications for a full-time Grocery Manager at our Marketplace Food Store located in Moose Jaw, SK.

Reporting to the Food Store Manager, this position is responsible for the overall leadership of the Grocery department including managing day-to-day operations and planning for the direction of the department. You will be responsible for achieving budgeted goals related to pricing, sales, margin, expenses, and inventory and executing departmental initiatives that support the Moose Jaw Co-op's strategic plan.

As Grocery Manager you'll have the opportunity to:
    Ensure a prompt, efficient, and friendly customer experience is provided at all times.
    Ensure the efficient operation of the department to achieve all financial targets and deliver on budgeted key performance indicators.
    Analyze period end statements, identify if corrective action is required, and provide recommendations to the Food Store Manager.
    Lead a team of approximately 30 team members and participate in recruitment, onboarding, retention, training, performance management, scheduling, timecard management, succession planning, and resolution of employee relations matters of direct reports.
    Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What Makes You a Great Fit:
    3+ years of relevant experience including supervising/managing a team in a retail setting
    Demonstrated initiative and drive for results; excels in a fast-paced environment
    Strong customer service skills, good communication and leadership skills
    Ability to handle multiple demands - adaptable, organized, efficient and committed
    Comfortable with computers and learning new applications
