The Saskatchewan Ministry of Agricultures Crops and Irrigation Branch (CIB) is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the administrative team in a fun and fast-paced environment for a full-time permanent position.
Specifically, as the Administrative Assistant, you will:
- Provide proficient customer service and office administration to the branch and support programs and services including but not limited to the Pesticide Licensing Program and the irrigation development process by being the first point of contact for our clients.
- Accurately enter various types of information into databases daily, and analyze data as needed.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and file documents daily.
- Proofread, edit, format, and use word processing software to create a variety of documents and letters.
- Meet multiple tight deadlines while dealing with frequent interruptions.
- Maintain files in SharePoint and manage disposal, archiving and retrieving of files.
- Provide policy and procedure explanations to colleagues and the public.
- Manage expenditures for the branch while staying within budget.
- Assist in the development, implementing and updating of administrative support procedures and standards.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required to be successful in this role would be achieved through a Certificate in Office Administration and/or equivalent office administration and client service experience.
