Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in estimating commercial building, civil, and land development projects, with a strong ability to analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor work.
Develop quantity take-offs for all trades and scopes of work.
Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier quotes, ensuring competitive and qualified pricing.
Prepare and maintain bid packages and proposal documents.
Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client walkthroughs as needed.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams to support project budgeting and value engineering efforts.
Update and maintain historical cost data for future project benchmarking.
Track market trends, material pricing, and subcontractor availability to ensure accurate forecasting.

Qualifications:
2+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction, civil construction, and/or land development.
Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or similar).
Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, materials, and building codes.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
