The Battlefords Housing Authority (TBHA) is looking for a Maintenance Worker to join their team for a 12-month term. This front-line position reports to the Property Services Manager with a primary focus of performing preventative maintenance on housing authority properties along with other types of repair work.

What You Will Do:
Building maintenance - service and repairs
Vacant unit repairs and preparation
Grounds maintenance
Maintain housing authority equipment and inventory

What We Are Looking For:
Experience repairing building mechanical equipment, custodial and maintenance work
Knowledge in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, heating, mechanical, painting and grounds work.
The ability to communicate effectively with tenants, housing authority staff, contractors and suppliers
An independent, task oriented, self-starter
Ability to lift heavy loads
Basic technology skills - computer and mobile phone

What You Will Bring:
Grade 12 along with some training in a trade (carpentry or plumbing)
1  3 years experience in a maintenance and repair environment OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Valid Class 5 drivers license
Ability to use hand and power tools
Recognition of and respect for peoples diversity and individual differences
An Enhanced Police Information Check is required upon hire
