Job Description: Staff Safety Specialists provide extensive consultation and a variety of resources to Managers, Safety Committees and Occupational Health Committees across the SHA. They develop, implement and evaluate training programs to contribute to injury reduction and to comply with the Saskatchewan Employment Act and Occupational Health & Safety Regulations legislation, Privacy Legislation and Human Rights. Staff Safety Specialists must be agents for transformational change in the organization in order to achieve strategic improvement goals for safety.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Education: Undergraduate degree or diploma in OH&S, Nursing, Physio or Occupational Therapy or Education with Masters Preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience - Licensed and in good standing with professional and/or regulatory body, if applicable.
Experience:  3 - 5 years experience in a related area - Valid class 5 driver's license
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of legislation and applicable laws
- Knowledge of the healthcare system in Saskatchewan
