The Early Childhood Development Outreach Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing support plans for young children and their families in order to provide support for those displaying developmental delays, as well as those with established environmental, psychological, and biological risk factors and will support families in their natural caregiving and decision-making roles to ensure they have the information and resources to be successful advocates and strong supports for their child.
Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree in a human service, child development or related field.
* Minimum two (2) years experience working with infants, young children with special needs (birth to school age) and staff in inclusive settings, including experience working with families in both home and childcare programs, utilizing a family-centered model of early intervention.
* Equivalent Education and Experience developing and implementing Individual Family Support Plans may be considered.
* Knowledge of the organization (strategic priories, values, goals, services, and programs), health care and First Nations culture.
* Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.
* Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
* Abilities and behaviours associated with the core competencies that are critical for this role such as planning and organizing, analytical and problem solving, interpersonal, collaboration and teamwork, and leadership and learning
* Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive information and documents.
* A successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
* Valid Class 5 drivers license
