Description

Reporting to the General Manager, the Capital Asset Administrator plays a vital role in developing and maintaining a long-term capital asset management plan. You will oversee property inspections, project scopes, tenders and contract administration ensuring buildings remain safe, functional, and modernized.

What You Will Do:
Maintain & update a multi-year capital asset and modernization plan.
Conduct annual and ad hoc inspections of buildings and units.
Identify infrastructure needs and propose budget recommendations.
Prepare detailed project scopes and tender packages in line with procurement policies.
Oversee contractor performance, including inspections and project close-out.
Coordinate insurance claim repairs and support liability reviews.

What We Are Looking For:
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organization, communication and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Practical knowledge of building systems, codes, and safety standards.

What You Will Bring:
Post-secondary in business, construction management, building technology or a related field.
35 years experience in capital asset planning, tendering, or contract administrationpreferably in housing or property management.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
Understanding of procurement processes and applicable codes (e.g., National Building Code, OH&S).
Valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
Ability to conduct site visits, enter construction areas, and use protective gear as needed.
An Enhanced Police Information Check is required upon hire.
