The Role
Reporting to the supervisor, maintenance, the maintenance attendant will be responsible for routine daily duties which help to ensure the efficient function of their department. This will include equipment checks and maintenance, housekeeping, calibrations and inspections, and assisting with basic mechanical tasks.
In this role, you will:
-Manage tool crib stock, ensuring tools are safe and in good condition for use
-Monitor inventory by ensuring that tools are signed in and out correctly
-Perform basic calibration and inspection of slings, come-alongs, and torque wrenches
-Provide routine housekeeping of tool crib and shop areas
-Wash vehicles and trailers
-Maintain and clean out the shops sump as required
-Assist as required with basic mechanical tasks and support tradespeople
Required:
-Grade 12 education or equivalent
-At least 1-3 years of related work experience, ideally in an industrial environment
-Capable of manual labour such as washing vehicles and general housekeeping
-Experience with power and hand tools
-Intermediate computer skills and software knowledge, MS Office programs in particular
-Efficient time management and organizational skills
-Superior safety record and a commitment to safety principles
-Valid Class 5 driver's license
-Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
