The Role
This role reports to the manager, process and plant operations and will be responsible for planning and executing operational projects in the site services department. You will work collaboratively within the department and engage stakeholders to successfully introduce sustainable changes, adhering to Camecos change management processes. This is a dynamic and evolving role that will be critical to McArthur River achieving its full potential.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
-Work Process Review and Optimization
-Collect and analyze batch plant data to better understand plant performance.
-Cycle time tracking and improvement implementation in the site services department.
Initiate cycle time studies to track times for specific tasks.
-Employ lean tools such as 5S, value stream mapping, and spaghetti diagrams to understand and reduce waste in site services and process department tasks.
-Manage and implement improvement projects.
-Work closely with supervisors, general supervisors and other support departments to implement projects and sustain improvements.
Required:
-Minimum two-year diploma in chemical or engineering technology, or equivalent
-Minimum of 10 years work experience in an industrial environment
-Proficient oral and written communication skills
-Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
-Ability to utilize a suite of computer software (including but not limited to Microsoft Office, SAP, and Minitab)
-Understanding of process based management and change management
-Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
