The Role
The technical services department is looking for a talented lead technologist who will report to the chief engineer, projects, and would like to be part of a team that will provide design solutions and technical support to Cameco operations and other business units.

In this role, you will:
-Provide leadership and guidance to technical design teams, including coordination of multidiscipline resources in support of work executed by both internal and external entities.
-Be responsible for ensuring projects are achieving schedule milestones for deliverables within the set budget targets.
-Serve as a representative for the technical design teams in coordination across other departments and manage project stakeholder engagement during development and review of technical deliverables.
-Review and coordinate oversight of design work completed by external engineering consultants.
-Serve as a first point of contact in provision of technical support and planning inputs to site and small projects at Camecos operations.
-Support preparation and execution of procurement packages, capital cost estimates, and scope of work documentation.
-Be responsible for ensuring work is done in accordance with Camecos processes, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements to an appropriate level of quality.
-Provide support for planning and preparation of field execution activities.
-Provide technical support to projects executing construction or commissioning field activities.

Required:  
-Engineering technology, applied science or related diploma
-12 or more years of related operational/industrial work experience required
-P.Tech, A.Sc.T, C.E.T. or international equivalent
-Projects will be based at Camecos northern Saskatchewan sites and Ontario operations.  Occasional travel to these sites will be required
