Description

The Engagement / Stewardship Assistant is a key welcoming face of the Inn, and responsible to provide assistance to donors, volunteers and visitors. They provide support for a variety of fund development activities, assist with coordination of the Volunteer Program and offer general clerical support for the effective day-to-day functioning of the Friendship Inn. The Engagement / Stewardship Assistant reports directly to the Development and Engagement Manager.

Responsibilities
    Assists with coordination and support for fundraising activities including campaigns and events
    Stewards donor and volunteer relationships related to receipting and recognition including accurate data entry and record management
    Coordinates volunteers, maintaining the master calendar, supporting orientation and navigation as needed, and tracking in-kind hours worked  
    Inputs daily statistics and program-related data
    Manages office supply inventory
    Answers telephone, responding to general inquiries, screens and directs calls, takes messages
    Manages bulletin board with community announcement and posters
    Receives and processes incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
    General support for the Management Team

    Attention to detail and able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
    Enjoys learning new skills and working towards goals
    Effective verbal and listening skills
    Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite, knowledge of donor or CRM software an asset
    Time management skills with ability to prioritize and work without direct supervision

Education and Experience
    Business or Admin Diploma or Certificate
    1  3 years experience
    Previous fundraising, volunteer or event coordination experience an asset
