McIntosh Crushing is currently seeking a permanent full-time Heavy Duty Mechanic. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing various equipment including, semis, trailers, loaders rock trucks, other heavy equipment as well as light vehicles. Working on company equipment as well as customers semis and trailers. We are SGI accredited for safetys of Tractor and Trailer.
Job Duties:
Repair and troubleshoot engines, fuel systems, final drives, hydraulic components, including pumps, motors, valves, and all related components, electrical and air systems.
Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
Perform assigned tasks in a timely, accurate, and efficient manner
Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner
Installation of new & added-on equipment
Electrical & hydraulic troubleshooting & diagnostics
Repair mechanical transmissions and differentials
Test repaired equipment for proper performance
Clean, lubricate & perform other maintenance work
Prepare required documentation including work orders, parts, and lists in an accurate and timely manner.
Possible exposure to chemicals, dust, fumes, and noise.
Required Experience:
Journeypersons status with 2- 4 years experience maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and semis and trailers.
Valid drivers license with the ability to get to and from work; a clean drivers abstract
Ability to work in a high paced environment with high physical demand
Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong internal drive to learn and develop future skill sets
Able to work in confined spaces
Steel-toe safety boots are required
