Description

RIWC Regina Immigrant Women Centre is a non-profit organization that provides programming and services to Newcomer Women and their families
RIWC is hiring a Career & Employment Planning Coordinator to perform outreach, trainer, and job placement coordination roles.  The Coordinator is responsible for delivery of in-class instruction as well as assisting clients in receiving work experience.

DUTIES
-    Promote the program to eligible clients and conduct intake assessments with new clients
-    Educate and encourage employers to participate in the program
-    Review, update and develop the existing curriculum
    Assess clients' employment needs and related skills
-    Assist clients in goal setting to develop employability skills
-    Provide in-class instruction and guidance in steps involved in securing employment
-    Select guest speakers and organize presentations and field trips
-    Explore and coordinate work placement for clients, provide workplace coaching and monitor their placements
-    Prepare reports and perform administrative duties

QUALIFICATIONS
-    Bachelor of Education with specialization in Adult Education or Bachelor in Vocational
Training or related field
-    Teaching experience with low-literacy adult language learners preferred
-    Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite
-    Excellent communication skills
-    Understanding of diversity issues and experience working with people with diverse backgrounds and linguistic skills
-    Demonstrated ability in working independently
-    Demonstrate networking and relationship building.
-    Experience and understanding of local labour market trends
-    Valid Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
-    Knowledge of a language other than English is an asset
