POSTION SUMMARY:
As part of a dynamic team in the Crisis Shelter and Residence, the Wellness Recovery Case Worker will provide trauma-informed, daily supports and services as well as client-centered case management
services to women residing in the Wellness Recovery Supported Living program. The goal is to meet women where they are in their treatment plans and support them through their healing journey and transition. This role involves comprehensive assessment, advocacy, individualized service planning, and ongoing support to empower clients in their healing journey. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of trauma-informed care, harm reduction strategies, with a commitment to supporting women experiencing mental health challenges and substance use.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Working as part of a collaborative team, provide:
Client Support & Advocacy;
Trauma-Informed Case Management;
Crisis Management;
Education & Empowerment;
Outreach and After Care Support;
Record keeping, Finance & Budgeting;
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor of Social Work  an equivalent combined experience and education may be considered
Registered Social Worker designation preferred
Minimum 2-3 years experience working with women, acute mental health and addictions
Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and its application in case management.
Knowledge of feminist theory and an understanding of how power dynamics impact womens
experiences of violence and recovery.
Criminal record clearance and vulnerable sector checks
First Aid and CPR certification
MHFA and ASIST certifications
Part Training and Motivational Interviewing an asset
