Salary:$39.3015 to $51.0918 (2 step range)
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Policy and Program Consultant is a provincial position responsible for the assessment, design, development, implementation, training, management and on-going support in the execution of the Population Health Departments strategic and operational plans and priorities. The Population Health Department is responsible for leading cancer prevention and screening programs across Saskatchewan. The consultant will play a major role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the departments strategic and operational plans. A key priority for this role will be managing the implementation of HPV Primary Screening within the cervical screening program.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree in Nursing, Social Sciences, or other health science related discipline.
- Masters degree from an accredited health science or health program is preferred.
- Current active licensure or registration in the healthcare profession.
- Minimum of 5 years clinical work experience in healthcare and 1 year consulting and/or project management, performance improvement, operation research or quality improvement experience.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
SKILLS:
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, database management and electronic medical record systems.
