Job Description: As part of an interdisciplinary team, the Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) with Intermediate Care Services (ICS) performs urgent, non-emergent assessments and treatments of patients to provide accessible, equitable, and safe care where patients need it most.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Education
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic/Advanced Care Paramedic currently licensed in the Province of Saskatchewan.
- Current CPR level "C".
- Current ACLS and PALS.
- Current ITLS - Advanced.
- Phlebotomy and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) certification is an asset
Experience
- Minimum of 24 months previous experience working as an Advanced Care Paramedic
- Previous community-based experience is an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Physically fit
Other Information
- This is a community-based position providing services with the Primary Health Care Networks (Regina) Home base for this position is: 4211 Albert Street
- Registered/eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
- Must have a valid Saskatchewan driver's license. This position requires access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Preference to HSAS members as per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the selection criteria
