The In-School Education Coordinator plays a vital role in delivering Skills Canada Saskatchewan's mission to engage youth in exploring careers in skilled trades and technologies. This position involves facilitating dynamic, hands-on learning experiences in classrooms, promoting career pathways, and building strong relationships with educators, students, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate presentations and workshops for students in Grades 6 - 12.
Facilitate hands-on activities that simulate real-world applications of skilled trades and technologies.
-Promote awareness of apprenticeship pathways, post-secondary options, and career opportunities in trades and tech.
-Coordinate with schools to schedule visits and tailor content to curriculum and student needs.
-Represent Skills Canada Saskatchewan at career fairs, competitions, and community outreach events.
-Maintain, transport, and set up educational materials, tools, and equipment.
-Collect and analyze feedback from students and educators to improve programming.
-Support the development of new educational content, including digital and print resources.
-Collaborate with other educators and staff to align programming with provincial and national initiatives.
-Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Education, Career Development, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience in youth engagement or skilled trades.
-Minimum 2 years of experience working with youth in educational or community settings.
-Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
-Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
