Description

Express Employment Professionals are recruiting for skilled and safety-conscious Splicer Technicians  Telecommunications to install, maintain, and repair aerial and underground telecommunication systems for one of major client. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fibre optics and copper cabling, and the ability to work in diverse and physically demanding environments. The job will be located in various urban, rural or remote areas around Regina, SK area.

Key Responsibilities:
Install, splice, and connect aerial and underground telephone lines, fibre optics, and copper cabling.
Install trunking systems, circuits, and related telecom equipment.
Test, diagnose, and troubleshoot transmission faults using specialized testing equipment.
Climb poles, ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed.
Complete and maintain accurate service logs, reports, and documentation.
Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs in a timely manner.
Work in varied settings including urban, rural, and remote areas.

Required Skills & Abilities:
Strong attention to detail with the ability to distinguish between colors.
Capability to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, including at heights and in confined or underground spaces.
Physically fit and able to bend, crouch, kneel, and move efficiently between job sites.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to dynamic job demands.

Certifications & Training:
Mandatory:
Working at Heights Training
CPR and First Aid Certification

Equipment Experience:
Fibre optics installation and repair
Copper cabling systems
Aerial and underground line systems

Transportation & Travel:
Valid drivers license required
Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed
Vehicle and travel expenses provided by employer
