Description

Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services Inc. is seeking a dynamic highly motivated individual to fill the position of Director of Prevention Services. This person is accountable for assuring that site-based projects meet standards of quality regarding service delivery and meet the requirements of policy-based service for case specific services as identified by protection workers in the request for collateral services form. This person will introduce a range of theoretical frameworks that Family Services Practitioners can access when working with children and their families as they perform the following responsibilities: Work with Community-based Prevention Workers, Prevention Committees and collateral services to develop and implement identified prevention project activities that meet community goals; Provide training to staff and teams to implement quality prevention projects; Provide administrative support to staff by ensuring that documentation is submitted on a timely basis; Participate in and contribute to staff processes, review, development and planning in a broader community passed prevention context; Participate in the development and maintenance of a cohesive team; Participate in regular supervision with the Director of Protection Services and the Executive Director; Develop and maintain knowledge of community resources and networks to support a coordinated pathway for vulnerable children, young people and their families. This person will also be responsible for compiling a training needs assessment and the development and the implementation of training programs relevant and unique to the community. Must have a BSW/BISW with significant experience in a social services organization. Knowledge and commitment to the FSIN Child Welfare and Family Support Act; The Child and Family Service Act of Saskatchewan; ISC Child and Family Service Program and the ISC Saskatchewan Region Child in Care Policy
