Description

Are you mechanically inclined and eager to build a career in the trades? Join our team as a Millwright Apprentice and gain hands-on experience while working toward your Red Seal certification. This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in a dynamic agricultural and industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment such as conveyors, augers, gearboxes, motors, and elevators.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues with plant and yard machinery.
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
Support daily operations including grain handling and fertilizer blending.
Work under the guidance of certified tradespeople to gain practical, on-the-job training.
Participate in formal apprenticeship training through Saskatchewan Polytechnic.

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in industrial work environments.
Physically fit and comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Commitment to enrolling in and completing the Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Apprenticeship Program.
Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to reliable transportation.

Assets (Preferred but Not Required):
Previous experience in agriculture, trades, or mechanical work.
Safety certifications such as WHMIS, First Aid, or Confined Space Entry.
