BAR is seeking a full time Intermediate Civil Technologist to join our Municipal Division in Lloydminster office

About the Position

This position will be responsible for the completion of all assigned project activities including field, design and drafting duties under the direct supervision of a senior member of the department.

More specifically, your duties and responsibilities will be to:

-Assist with and lead field survey activities utilizing conventional survey, total station, and GPS equipment.
-Assist with various aspects of engineering and construction of municipal infrastructure.
-Ensure designs conform to applicable codes, standards, regulations, specifications and procedures.
-Provide technical assistance and support to project staff during design and construction.
-Assist with direction for end job activities, including completion reports and final documentation.

About the Candidate

You will need a Diploma in Engineering Technology with a minimum of 4 years of experience and registered or eligible for registration with ASET/SASTT.

Our Technologists have:

-Experience with working with AutoCAD to manipulate design drawings for GPS point creation and municipal design.
-Strong attention to detail.
-Effective Communication Skills
-Excellent time management and organizational skills.
-Ability to learn new skills.
-Self-motivated team player.
-Valid drivers licence with clean drivers abstract is required.
