Description

The Supervised Visitation Worker at the North West Friendship Centre is responsible for supervising visits between children, parents, and family members, while documenting parent/child interactions and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Additionally, the role is responsible for providing safe and efficient transportation for clients to and from visitation appointments and medical appointments. The position requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Supervise and facilitate visits between children and parents within the Friendship Centre, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
-Monitor visits closely, intervening as necessary to maintain appropriate conduct and safety standards.
-Clearly define and communicate visitation rules to all parties involved, and report any violations to the referring agency.
-Provide positive feedback and parenting coaching during visits to promote healthy parent-child interactions.
-Document each visit using the specified format provided by the Ministry of Social Services.
-Remain within sight and hearing of clients at all times during supervised visits to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
-Transport clients safely and securely to various locations for visitation and medical appointments, adhering to traffic laws and safety policies.
-Ensure proper processing of transportation-related documentation.
-Schedule transportation services for clients, children, and parents efficiently, while working within the budget.
-Collaborate with internal departments, social workers, and clients to optimize services and handle queries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent; Early Childhood Education or Youth Care Worker certificate is an asset.
-Must possess a valid Saskatchewan driver's license, reliable vehicle, and current original Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
