Description

Seed Cleaning Plant Receiver/Maintenance
    Receiving and Inspecting Seed: Receiving incoming seed shipments, verifying quantities, and inspecting for quality and cleanliness and maintaining accurate records of seed received.
    Preparing Seed for Cleaning: Preparing the seed for the cleaning process, which may include tasks like transferring from bin to bin using tractors, trucks, augers and conveyors.
    Operating Equipment: Operating various equipment, such as Tractors, Grain Trucks, Forklift, Augers, Conveyors.
    Maintaining Cleanliness: Keeping the work area and equipment clean and organized.
    General Maintenance: Performing basic maintenance of cleaning and bagging equipment. Ability to work with material handling systems including bucket elevators, dust collection systems, grain cleaning equipment, conveyors, augers, fans, motors vacuums, pumps, compressors etc.
    Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service to clients during the seed receiving process.
    Following Safety Procedures: Adhering to all safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    Physical Stamina: The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various conditions including grain dust.
    Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of machinery and equipment operation. Inspect equipment on a regular basis, pre and post operating.
    Communicate any unsafe conditions or wear and/or damage of equipment to supervisor in order to facilitate corrective action.
    Safely work from a ladder, platform, staging scaffold or mobile basket.
    Working at heights will be required.
    Class 5 drivers license required, Class 1 would be an asset.
    Ability to weld an asset.
    Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
