Reporting to the Executive Director and Director of Programs, the Program Manager supports program development and implementation for children and youth (ages 514) at BGC Battlefords. Serving as a liaison between the Director of Programs and program staff, the Program Manager ensures effective communication and coordination across teams. Key responsibilities include planning, delivering, and evaluating child & youth programs; recruiting participants; creating promotional materials; attending community events; and supporting special programs such as hockey, soccer, etc.
This role involves staffing duties such as assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, supervising program staff and volunteers, and ensuring quality and safety during all activities and field trips. The Program Manager also helps maintain accurate program documentation, facility cleanliness, and supports health and safety procedures, including incident reporting and first aid.
Candidates should demonstrate experience in program coordination, staff supervision, and leadership. Required skills include organization, communication, creativity, problem-solving, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Canva. Qualifications include relevant education or certification, at least one year of related experience, First Aid/CPR-C certification, a valid Class 5 drivers license with personal vehicle for work purposes, and the ability to pass security checks.
The position requires flexibility to work daytime, evening, and weekend hours, and participation in additional training and community events as needed.
