MLT Aikins is in search of a file clerk responsible for providing administrative support to all offices. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and highly organized, has superior computer and time management skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate must be able to follow detailed, complex instructions, often with minimal supervision, multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced legal professional team.

The file clerk position has the opportunity to work remotely from home for the right candidate with the option of working out of a local office. This position also includes and is compensated for some after-hours firm coverage running conflict searches in rotation between team members.

Responsibilities include:  
* Entering names, addresses, numbers, dates and other information into spreadsheets and databases efficiently and accurately
* Creating, managing and maintaining electronic files
* Producing reports from within the database and Excel
* Performing client conflict checks, opening and closing files
* Organizing and prioritizing large volumes of information
* Responding to and assisting lawyers, management and staff, providing information and ensuring appropriate follow-though and/or resolution
* Reviewing and verifying tasks for completeness and tracking down missing information
* Retrieving files from offsite storage
