Eagle's Nest Youth Ranch is recruiting for a Full-time Educational Assistant (EA) for the 2025/2026 school year. The EA is responsible for providing for the youths emotional and physical needs while facilitating the education of youth in the classroom setting. The EA fosters a safe, nurturing, structured learning environment. The EA works under the guidance and supervision of the classroom teacher.
Responsibilities:
1.    Promotes an atmosphere of respect for students and adults
2.    Provides a positive, caring and safe school environment
3.    Demonstrates ethical and confidential behaviour
4.    Show patience and understanding towards students
5.    Makes a positive contribution to the schools functions and activities
6.    Carries out teacher directed activities to reach the students established goals
7.    Works with individual and/or groups of students
8.    Assists in the locating and organization of resource materials
9.    monitors students within and outside of the classroom
10.    Observes and records students behaviour in accordance with teachers plan
11.    Assists with the organization and supervision of community based learning experiences
12.    All other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher

Qualifications:
> Clear Criminal Record Clearance with a vulnerable sector check
> Valid Class 5 Drivers License
> Valid First Aid/CPR-C
>Knowledge of First Nations culture, traditions, and beliefs is an asset
> Legally entitled to work in Canada
> Prior related work experience, education, and additional skills will be taken into consideration (e.g. woodworking, mechanical, music).
