Accounting Analyst Land Development (City of Regina)

The City of Regina is hiring an Accounting Analyst to support our Land Development branch, which includes Land, Real Estate & Facilities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to sound financial management in a civic setting.
What Youll Do:
Perform daily, monthly, and year-end reconciliations, journal entries, transfers, and reporting
Process payments, adjustments, refunds, payroll information, and P-card transactions
Prepare revenue projections and coordinate annual revenue budgets
Reconcile collection agent reports and assigned accounts
Maintain financial data, filing systems, and reporting accuracy
Respond to internal and external inquiries related to accounting processes
Ensure compliance with legislation related to utility transfers and tax roll processes
Act as departments primary contact for bankruptcy matters
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the branch
What You Bring:
University degree in Accounting
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience
Solid understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and reconciliation processes
Strong knowledge of financial systems and office productivity tools (Excel, ERP software, etc.)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of municipal bylaws, policies, procedures, and relevant legislation is an asset
