Description

The Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists (SCPT) is the regulatory body for physical therapy in Saskatchewan. With a mandate to protect the public, SCPT ensures physical therapists meet and maintain professional, ethical, and competency standards. It regulates about 850 registrants and 55-65 professional corporations annually under The Physical Therapists Act, 1998.

SCPT is seeking a new Executive Director & Registrar (EDR) to provide strategic and operational leadership. Reporting to Council, the EDR ensures SCPTs regulatory and administrative functions align with its public protection mandate. This includes oversight of registration, complaints, conduct, standards of practice, finance, HR, policy, and stakeholder engagement. The EDR supports Council as a strategic advisor, ensures compliance with legislation and bylaws, and represents SCPT to registrants, government, and sector partners.

This is a unique opportunity for a values-driven leader with senior-level experience in regulation, healthcare, or the non-profit sector. You are skilled in organizational leadership, financial and HR management, and governance support. You are also technologically adept and able to manage systems in a fully remote environment.

Key Qualifications:

Degree in health, business, public administration, or law (or equivalent)

3-5 years of leadership experience

Experience working with boards or councils

Financial, HR, and operational planning skills

Proficiency with databases, MS Office, and financial software (e.g., Sage)

Strong communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills

Collaborative, relationship-focused, and committed to public service

Must reside in Saskatchewan (fully remote position)

SCPT is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion. Accommodations are available upon request.
