Come join our team at Millennium Land Ltd.; one of the largest and most dynamic land acquisition and environmental services companies in Western Canada! We are currently looking to fill both Intermediate and Senior positions.
As an Environmental Scientist you will be have a balance of office and field work. Specifically, primary duties will relate to Oil & Gas Reclamation and Remediation, and/or Biophysical Assessment.
Key duties may include, but are not limited to:
Biophysical Assessments including wildlife and vegetation surveys and wetland assessments
Conducting Gas Migration and SCVF Testing;
Conducting Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I and Phase II);
Conducting work associated with wellsite and flowline abandonment;
Conducting Spill Response for Oil & Gas properties;
Liaising with Clients
Preparing formal reports and approval submissions; and,
Other duties as required.
The successful candidate should have:
Post-secondary degree or diploma (degree in Agrology, Environmental Sciences, or similar field preferred);
Hold, or be eligible for, certification from a Professional Organization (SIA, APEGS, SASTT, ASPB, etc.);
3+ years of relevant experience;
Knowledge of Saskatchewan oil and gas sector;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Strong time management and organizational skills;
Ability to meet tight deadlines;
Valid Class 5 drivers license with clean abstract;
Desired Attributes (not required):
Applicable, up to date Field Safety Tickets (First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, etc.)
Experience leading field crews and managing subcontractors is beneficial.
Experience with maintaining, calibrating, and using a variety of monitoring instruments;
