Social Workers provide social and emotional support to children and families to ensure a healthy and positive school experience. Through in-class support, short term counselling, and referrals to outside community agencies Social Workers develop behavioural strategies and interventions that maximize opportunities and success in school.
What will make you successful:
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Social Work.
Registered and in good standing with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers.
Experience working in the education sector is an asset.
Current knowledge of best practices, assessment, intervention, and consultation methods to support in childhood and adolescent social/emotional development.
Effective communication and collaboration skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
Time management skills, flexibility, and ability to work independently and problem solve.
Knowledge and adherence to professional standards and ethics specific to the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers.
Superior case management tracking, documentation, writing and reporting skills.
Ability to manage confidential material and maintain staff and student privacy.
What you can expect:
Hourly rate range: $43.23 - $52.60.

Hours of work are 40 hours per week on school days, with an exact scheduling to be determined. Social Workers are not scheduled to work during school vacation periods.
