Description

The Daycare Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operation of the childcare center. This includes ensuring the delivery of high-quality early learning programs, maintaining strict adherence to all Saskatchewan Ministry of Education (Early Learning and Child Care Branch) licensing regulations and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards, and fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.

Responsibilities:

-Is responsible for the administration and management of a full-time daycare
-Responsible for developing daycare programs for various age groups and training staff for programs
-Providing a safe and healthy work environment at all times
-The manager provides an on-going supervision of staff and programs activities, services and consulting with outside agencies. The Daycare manager ensures programs are operating effectively to meet the needs of Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation.
-Proposal writing to access funds for new and existing programs and activities is required in meeting program gaps
Financial and administrative oversight

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child and Youth Care, or a related field
-Must meet the qualifications for a Level III Early Childhood Educator as recognized by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education
-Additional coursework or certification in Business Management, Public Administration is an asset
-Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience working in a licensed childcare setting
-Proven experience with budget management and administrative oversight
Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
-Valid Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Check, dated within the last 6 months
-Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to Saskatchewans Occupational Health and Safety legislation and regulations
-Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle is required
