This is an in-scope union position responsible for the accounting records of the municipality in accordance with policies established by Council and the Town Administrator. Duties include month-end activities, bank recs, financial statements and reporting, accounts payable, asset management, GST, school tax, etc.
The successful applicant will have the ability and skills necessary to do municipal accounting. Applicants will have good communication skills, ability to work with department heads, co-workers and the general public. Extensive experience or willing to learn Munisoft. A general competency working with Microsoft Office.
