Description

One Arrow First Nation is looking for a Social Development Supervisor that will oversee the planning, implementation and reporting of social development programs and activities available to community members. Reporting to the Director of Health, the role acts independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team to promote and support activities, programs and services that will advance social development opportunities in the community.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage, supervise and mentor social development team members.
- Assist in oversight of the social development teams programs and services ensuring expenditures are compliant with Income Assistance Program Guidelines.
-Facilitate appropriate referrals for counseling for addictions, family violence, and mental health as required.
-Facilitate and document case management meetings both internally and externally.
-Act as an advocate to communicate the needs of community members, mediate member concerns and complaints.
Qualifications:
-Post secondary education in sociology, education, social work or other human services area.
-Minimum of three (3) years related experience in community and/or social development.
-Experience supervising employees.
-Creative, resourceful, problem solver that excels in resolving disputes, complaints and communication issues.
-Valid Drivers License and reliable vehicle
-Must have current criminal record check through the CPIC, including a Vulnerable Sector check
-Must comply with Fit for Duty policy and participate in mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
