W.F. Botkin is currently seeking a Truck and Trailer Mechanic. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing semi-trucks and trailers but not limited to light trucks, tandems, and mixers.
Job Duties:
-Perform inspections, service, and repairs on various types of truck and trailers in a timely and efficient manner
- Adhere to all safety regulations, guidelines, and company policies while working on trucks and trailers
-Conduct routine preventative maintenance
-Inspect, troubleshoot, test, or repair of brake systems, suspension, engines, hydraulics, electrical, air conditioning, fuel systems, transmissions, and more
-Complete and maintain required paperwork, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times
-Move trucks and trailers in and out of the shop for repairs and maintenance
Requirements:
-2-5 years of experience on working on Truck and Trailer or similar; Journeyperson certification is an asset.
-Knowledge and expertise on repair and maintenance of trucks and trailers is required
-Valid drivers license - Class 3A or 1A license
-High attention to detail with strong values rooted in health and safety
-Ability to work in a high paced environment with high physical demand
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment
-Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in confined spaces
-Scheduling flexibility as overtime may be required
