The Head Rhythmic Gymnastics Coach is responsible for leading the development, training, and competitive performance of rhythmic gymnasts at all levels within the club.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to different age groups and skill levels, from beginner to elite athletes.
Develop annual training plans, including periodization cycles aligned with competition schedules.
Conduct group and individual training sessions focusing on mastering apparatus handling (ribbon, hoop, ball, clubs, rope), body technique, choreography, and routine composition.
Assess athletes progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance.
Maintain regular communication with athletes, parents, and club management regarding training goals, progress, schedules, and expectations.
Identify talents and support athlete progression through competitive levels, including preparation for major competitions (local, provincial, national, international).
Coordinate athletes participation in competitions, ensuring proper registration, travel logistics, and equipment readiness.
Serve as the subject matter expert on the evolving technical standards and regulations issued by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), ensuring full understanding and compliance within the club.
Supervise and mentor assistant coaches and support staff, encouraging professional development and consistent coaching standards.
Organize regular team meetings and coach collaborations to share best practices and align methodologies.
Manage training schedules, attendance records, and coaching reports.
Contribute to marketing and promotional activities to grow the rhythmic gymnastics program.
Collaborate closely with the volunteer Board of Directors, composed of parent representatives, and report regularly to the Board.
