Description

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Service Writer to join our team. This role plays a key part in delivering a smooth and efficient service experience while supporting daily service operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with a general knowledge of the automotive industry.

-Call customers to schedule service appointments and follow-ups
-Handle incoming calls, book appointments, and answer service inquiries
-Present quotes and explain repair recommendations clearly and professionally
-Communicate updates and status of vehicles in service
-Open and close work orders accurately with proper documentation
-Manage warranty claims and dealership loaner vehicles, including GM submissions
-Schedule technician workflow to maintain productivity and balance workloads
-Monitor and follow up on outstanding recalls
-Provide excellent customer service, even under pressure
-Collaborate with other departments
-Use quoting software to estimate labour and create repair quotes
-Liaise with GM Service Representative as needed
-Stay current on service processes and priorities

Experience in dealership service or automotive customer service is preferred. Strong communication, time management, multitasking, and organizational skills are essential for success. Must be comfortable under pressure and detail-oriented. Familiarity with PBS or similar systems, quoting tools like Mitchell, and basic vehicle service terminology is an asset. Ideal candidates are team players with strong problem-solving abilities and experience with GM warranty, loaner processes, and technician workflow coordination.
