Description

The Social Assistance Employment and Training (SAET) Coordinator plays a pivotal role in empowering individuals receiving social assistance within Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation to achieve sustainable employment and enhance their overall well-being. This position involves developing, coordinating, and delivering tailored employment readiness and training programs. The SAET Coordinator will work directly with clients to assess their needs, provide guidance, connect them with essential resources, and advocate on their behalf, all while collaborating with community partners and ensuring adherence to program guidelines and relevant provincial regulations, including Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

-Client Assessment & Case Management
-Program Development & Delivery
-Employment & Resource Navigation
-Advocacy & Support
-Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with agencies
-Maintain accurate and detailed records of clients

Skills and Abilities:

-Thorough understanding of employment readiness principles, job search strategies and adult learning methodologies
-Strong knowledge of the social determinants of health and common barriers to employment
-Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and active listening skills.
-Strong ability to build rapport and trust with clients
-Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
-Strong problem-solving, advocacy, and conflict-resolution skills.
-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Requirements:

-Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
-Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
