Description

The MCCS Thrift Shops provide quality used clothing, furniture and appliances at reasonable prices to a growing market. They generate a significant amount of funds for MCCs relief and development projects. The Shop Assistant will work together with the Thrift Shop staff, volunteers and management team in the overall operation of the Thrift Shop.


Assignment Description:
MCCS Thrift Shops seek to be a friendly, caring presence in their community, showing value and respect to all. Practicing and promoting faithful stewardship and care for Gods creation and raising funds for MCC are also key components to the mission statement of the Thrift Shops.

The Shop Assistant is accountable to the Manager who will provide direction for the tasks, duties and responsibilities of the Shop Assistant. This is a full-time (40 hours/week) salaried term position (ending no later than Feb 28, 2026), with final schedule determined by the Shop Manager.

Daily work hours are typically 8:30am  5:00pm, including various Saturdays per month.
