Duties & Responsibilities:
The Event Services Supervisor is responsible and accountable for the successful execution of events, rentals, and functions within the Gallagher Centre, as defined in the Gallagher Centre Events Policy and approved agreements. The position also assists with the effective and efficient execution and promotion of the Recreation & Community Services Departments facilities, programs, and services. Using the core values of respect, leadership, communication, teamwork, customer service, and accountability, the Events Services Supervisor shall:
Provide and maintain a high standard of customer service to both internal and external customers.
Lead the Gallagher Centre event booking process by taking a proactive approach to event and rental coordination and logistics, from initial request to final invoicing.
Be responsible for the implementation of food and beverage contracts as they relate to events and rentals at the Gallagher Centre.
Recruit, train, lead, and evaluate the Venue Services Coordinator position.
Ensure the effective and efficient use of City resources.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent
SCOT/ WHMIS and LSE (Leadership for Safety Excellence) course
Ability to understand and comply with safety policies and procedures
Must possess and maintain R.C.M.P. security clearance Enhanced Reliability Status
Must possess and maintain Class 5 Drivers License
