Description

We are seeking a skilled & detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our team.This role requires a strong understanding of powder coating processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare various surfaces(steel,aluminum)for powder coating,including cleaning,degreasing & pre-treatment(sandblasting)
Operate electrostatic powder coating equipment, spray guns & curing ovens,to apply an even & consistent layer of powder
Monitor paint flow,coating quality & oven temperatures to ensure optimal curing and finish
Perform visual inspections of coated products to identify & correct any flaws or imperfections
Read/interpret work orders,blueprints & specifications to determine production requirements & coating parameters
Maintain & clean powder coating equipment,spray booths & work areas
Support full adherence to 5S(Sort,Set in Order,Shine,Standardize,Sustain)practices
Ensure all records are completed accurately & in a timely manner
Identify & segregate non-conforming material,escalating quality concerns to supervisors as needed
Adhere to all safety procedures,including lockout/tag-out & wear appropriate personal protective equipment(PPE),including respirators
Assist with loading & unloading parts onto and off the production line
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2+ years of experience in powder coating or industrial painting,or an equivalent combination of education & experience
Proven knowledge of powder coating processes,including surface preparation,application techniques & curing
Familiarity with powder coating equipment,such as spray guns,booths, & ovens
Strong attention to detail & ability to identify & correct imperfections
Physical stamina & the ability to lift & move objects as required
Ability to work independently & as part of a team
Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
Knowledge of safety procedures & the ability to work safely with chemicals& equipment
Forklift experience is an asset
