Description

The Street Worker's Advocacy Project is looking for a Facilities Coordinator for our Raising Hope program.  This program offers intensive residential supports and programming for pregnant or early postpartum women struggling with addiction issues and is delivered through a 18 suite apartment building.  The primary responsibility of the Facilities Coordinator is the maintenance and upkeep of the Raising Hope apartment building through liaisoning with our landlord to ensure security protocols and the appropriate health and safety standards are met.  This position is also responsible for managing all inventory and supplies for the operation of the Raising Hope program, ensuring residential apartments meet health and safety standards, appliances are in working order and repairs or renovations are attended to.  This position is responsible for ensuring agency vehicles are in good operating condition, arranges maintenance as required, ensures vehicle travel logs are completed on time, and works with insurance providers and others as required in the event of vehicle damage.  This position may also provide some program support such as assisting case workers in the ongoing assessment of general client needs and challenges, providing life skills instruction, mentoring and coaching, providing transportation to clients as needed for appointments, grocery shopping, etc, monitoring the security system, and coordinating the receipt and distribution of donations and ensuring donations meet all safety standards. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of facilities management operations and building safety regulations and experience in the delivery of social services and community based programs with at risk women,
