Job Description: Within the framework of the Primary Health Care (PHC) Networks, in alignment with the PHC clinical counselling model, the Masters of Social Work Senior (MSW Sr.) will provide professional leadership in the development and delivery of services to the KidsFirst program. The MSW Sr. will provide focused mental health and addictions clinical services, evaluation and consultation to KidsFirst families, and provide clinical consultation to contracted KidsFirst agencies. The incumbent has a formal supervisory (clinical/professional and/or administrative) relationship for the KidsFirst team. This includes employees, preceptor for students in formal clinical practicums, and provides professional and public education regarding mental health and addiction issues and resources. They will be required to demonstrate authoritative knowledge and clinical expertise as well as exhibit strong interpersonal skills in this role. This position requires the ability to provide consultation, education, and training within the KidsFirst team within Primary Health Care of mental health and addictions services, incorporating best practice and evidence-based research.
